Prof Mark McAlindon is a Consultant Gastroenterologist in Sheffield since 1998 and trained in Nottingham, Stoke-on-Trent and Melbourne, Australia.
He was a British Digestive Research Training Fellow 1994-6 researching molecular mechanisms in inflammatory bowel disease.
His current interests are in capsule endoscopy, nutrition and inflammatory bowel disease.
He is chair of the UK Capsule and Device-assisted Enteroscopy Group, a member of the BSG Endoscopy Committee and co-directs the Lumley Castle Capsule Course with Carolyn Davison.
