David is the current BRET Chariman since 2018. He is a Company Director for a management consultancy specialising in business strategy and organisational development. He is an experienced manager, training practitioner, coach and facilitator. He has a wide range of experience helping organisations; in the NHS, private and public sector to enhance performance through strategy, systems and behavioural change. He has over twenty years board level experience. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and the Chartered Institute of Personal & Development.
For eight years David was employed at a leading UK and Global learning and development organisation. During his tenure as a member of the management team the organisation was voted one of the top ten “Times Top 100 Companies to work for in the UK”. Also, “Best Workplace in the UK” with under 250 employees. Prior to this, David worked briefly for the Outward Bound Trust and as a Senior Training Consultant. Earlier in his career, David worked as an Operations Specialist for the United Nations. In David’s early career he gained significant experience of leading people as an Army Officer working on operations throughout the World.
David lives in the Lake District, is married and has two daughters.
